If you're using regular diapers, spread some baby food inside the middle of TWO diapers. Make it look really unpleasant. Close up the diapers really well so it looks like there's nothing inside them. Stack up the clean diapers inside the basket. Place the dirty "surprise" diapers randomly within the stack, making them look like the other clean diapers.

How to play the Dirty Diaper Game: Don't let guests know the object of this dirty diaper game. You'll want to keep them in suspense. Have a baby shower hostess or the mother-to-be circulate among the guests with the basket of diapers. Ask each guest to take one diaper and keep it closed. After all baby shower guests have a diaper, ask everyone to open up their diapers at the same time. The two winners of this Dirty Diaper Game are the two baby shower guests holding the dirty diapers!

How to play "Pass the Dirty Diaper" baby shower game: Have baby shower guests sit in a circle. Hand one guest a "dirty" baby diaper that's filled with warm baby food. Either a baby shower hostess or the mother-to-be is in charge of turning on the music as guests pass the diaper around the circle. When the music is suddenly turned off, the person holding the dirty diaper is out of the game. Continue until there are just two people left – one with the dirty diaper and one without. The winner of this Dirty Diaper Game is the baby shower guest who is empty handed at the end of the game.

Things you'll need for Name that Candy Bar – Dirty Diaper Game:
- 12 baby diapers, or use the baby shower Dirty Diaper Game kit above.
- Black Sharpie marker
- 12 candy bars. Some suggestions: Kit Kat, Nestle's Crunch, Snickers, Milky Way, Almond Joy, Mounds, Butterfinger, Ghirardelli, Hershey's, Mr. Goodbar, Junior Mints, Toblerone, Baby Ruth, 100 Grand, PayDay, York Peppermint Pattie, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, etc.
- Pens – one for each baby shower guest.
- One sheet of paper per guest pre-numbered 1-12, plus an extra sheet of paper for your use.
- Optional: Small clipboards for holding the sheets of paper.
- Large poster board listing the names of all candy bars used for this game.
- Baby shower prize for the winner!
Preparations for the Dirty Diaper Game: Using the black Sharpie marker, number the outside of each diaper (1, 2, 3…). Pair up each diaper with a candy bar. On a piece of paper, record the name of the candy that is paired up with each numbered diaper. Just before the game begins, using a microwave slightly heat one candy bar inside the middle of each baby diaper. But don't over melt the candy! The candy should only be partially melted. With a spoon, spread the candy around just a little bit inside the middle of the diaper so it looks somewhat realistic! Don't close the diapers completely as the candy may stick to the sides of the diapers and keep them closed. Pre-number the sheets of paper 1-12. These will be your Dirty Diaper Game sheets.

How to play the Dirty Diaper Game: Have guests sit in a half circle. Give each baby shower guest a Dirty Diaper Game sheet along with a pen or pencil. Display the easel or poster board where everyone can see it. Explain to the baby shower guests that the list of candy bars displayed are possibilities for what is inside the diapers. Baby shower guests are allowed to look and smell, but not touch or taste, the contents of each diaper. Guesses are to be recorded on the sheet of paper. Numbers on the sheets of paper correspond to the numbers written on the outside of the diapers. At each of the two ends of the half circle, start circulating the diapers. The winner of this dirty diaper game is the baby shower with the most correct guesses!
